Our house build began in spring of 2016 and completed in spring of 2017.
The Kühlhaus team was diligent in maintaining top end standards throughout. They provided clear communication as the build progressed. They were open to small changes we requested and executed with timely precision. Post build we were fully supported by the Kühlhaus team dealing with small issues. We have been in our home for over 8 years and we continue to get support from Kühlhaus without question or delay. Our build by Kühlhaus started more than 8 years ago. Throughout the build process our builder was onsite regularly. Since then, we have had several issues with our home. Several finishes or products were not as we expected. Kühlhaus was quick to respond to our concerns, usually the same day.
They quickly planned repairs or corrections and diligently followed through with the required work.
Kühlhaus has also stepped in to find solutions with suppliers on issues with faulty siding, defective locks, missing insulation, and defective roof vent systems. Kühlhaus has displayed integrity and honesty in their business. We would recommend them to anyone interested in building in the area.

We set out to build our dream home in Thornbury in 2019. After visiting with a few builders, we selected Kühlhaus because of their personable, open approach and a number of past builds they had completed and showed us. All of those owners also endorsed them to us.
From the very initial planning stage Kühlhaus was fully engaged and offered advice and guidance to help us shape our home and set expectations. From that point forward, the schedule and budget we agreed to was largely adhered to, with rare exceptions fully explained and managed.
The Kühlhaus team and all of the contractors they engaged were great. Very open and encouraging to have us visit the site, meet the guys, monitor progress, and discuss any changes we may have wanted to consider.
As we neared completion, they clearly stated they stood behind their work, and to reach out any time we had any issues. I will say we have only had a few over the past 6 years, but in each case they responded quickly to my call and personally handled it or called in the expertise to get things fixed.
We have been thrilled with our home and see both Tyler and Scott as we all live in the same neighbourhood. As I said, great people and exceptional, quality work.

We had our custom house built by Kühlhaus from March 2021 to April 2022. Kühlhaus Made the whole process from project planning, design to build completion very smooth and relatively quickly given it was built during the pandemic.
We were and continue to be impressed by the quality of work, service and expertise Kühlhaus provided throughout the build process.
We have been our house for almost 4 years and with every new build there will be a few minor issues that will need addressing. Kühlhaus handled the minor issues in a quick and very responsive manner in the first year of occupancy. A example was a few settling cracks we had in our grand room ceiling drywall. Kühlhaus arranged for the drywall fix and hired the painter to re-paint the area. A few other issues have arose and Kühlhaus is still providing us service for these with no hesitation. It was for this reason we chose Kühlhaus to handle our project.

Kühlhaus built my studio during the height of COVID, when construction timelines and supply chains were incredibly unpredictable, yet they somehow made the entire process feel clear, calm, and headache-free. They were consistently punctual, transparent, and communicative, always keeping me informed about progress, scheduling, and which trades would be arriving on site. When materials became difficult to source, they proactively found excellent alternatives without compromising the integrity or vision of the build.
I truly cannot say enough good things about the quality of their work. Not only is my studio beautiful, thanks in large part to their thoughtful on-site design suggestions, but it is exceptionally well constructed. I spend countless hours in this space, and I honestly wish they had built my main house. The structure feels incredibly solid and enduring… if a tornado were coming, I’d probably hide in my studio!
Kühlhaus was endlessly patient with my many questions throughout the build and always took the time to reassure me and explain things clearly. Even after completion, they have remained available and generous with their time, stopping by to help with small things or answer questions whenever needed (even something as simple as changing the batteries in my fireplace).
My studio is the envy of many artists, not just because it is inspiring, but because it is strong, thoughtful, and impeccably built. I would recommend Kühlhaus without hesitation for any project. They are professional, courteous, and an absolute pleasure to work with.
